The Sport Management (SPM) Club at Syracuse University recently announced Make-A-Wish Central New York as beneficiary of its 15th Annual Charity Sports Auction, an event that has raised more than $475,000 for local charities since inception.
This year, the student-run auction takes place Nov. 16th at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse in conjunction with the S.U. men's basketball game versus Seattle University.
Make-A-Wish Central New York was the grateful beneficiary of the 2014 auction, which raised $40,000 for local wishes. Organizers of this year’s event hope to surpass that amount.
“We know what this amazing group of students can accomplish and ‘thank you’ does not feel adequate,” said Make-A-Wish Central New York President and CEO Diane Kuppermann. “The students, together with our generous community, will help fulfill many of the 150 wishes currently in our pipeline. Together, we will transform lives one wish at a time. For that, we are most grateful!”
Purchase of a game ticket for the Syracuse men’s basketball game is necessary for access to the auction. Tickets can be purchased on SU Athletics’ website (cuse.com), at the Carrier Dome Box Office, or by phone at 1-800-DOMETIX.
