Utica, NY—The Utica College Hockey Team will be fundraising for Make-A-Wish® Central New York this season by raffling off chances to have dinner with players. Raffle tickets will be sold at every home game throughout the 2014-2015 season beginning with the team’s home-opener against Castleton State on November 1st at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. In February, winners will be drawn and 31 lucky fans will have the chance to enjoy dinner with their favorite UC Hockey players.
The dinner will be held Feb. 12 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Valentino’s Banquet Hall in New Hartford. Valentino’s is donating the cost of the evening in support of Make-A-Wish. Money raised from the sale of tickets will benefit Make-A-Wish Central New York, which grants the special wishes of children with life-threatening conditions.
Eight-year- old Wish Kid Brendan Krol, of New Hartford, is a Team IMPACT member of the UC Hockey Team. Brendon was granted his wish to Disney World in 2010. His mom, Megan Krol, is coordinating the raffle fundraiser for Make-A-Wish.
