Syracuse, NY – Make-A-Wish® Central New York is pleased to announce that Amanda Timmerman has been promoted to Program Services Manager.
Timmerman has been working for Make-A-Wish® since 2008. Prior to this position at Make-A-Wish Central New York as Program Services Coordinator, she worked as the Celebrity Project Coordinator for Make-A-Wish® America in Phoenix, Arizona. Timmerman is a graduate of Arizona State University’s Barrett Honors College where she earned a BS in psychology and a minor in public relations and strategic communications. She worked at the university as an Honors Thesis Researcher and Sr. Alumni Relations Specialist at the Office of Annual Giving. She also worked as an Administrative and Public Relations Specialist at Moses Anshell. Timmerman lives in Syracuse with her husband Travis.

Incorporated in 1985, Make-A-Wish Central New York, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to granting special wishes to children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 who are living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with
hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish has granted nearly 1,500 wishes since its inception.
In granting a favorite wish, Make-A-Wish strives to provide the wish child and family with extra-special memories of joy and laughter. A wish offers a welcome respite - a time for nothing, but fun!
Make-A-Wish continues to “bring the magic of a wish” to special central New York kids because of the generous support of the Central New York community, that includes both individuals and corporations, throughout the fifteen county regions it serves. The counties being served are: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins.
