Making Wishes Come True at 27th Annual Onondaga Beverage Make-A-Wish® Open
Syracuse, N.Y. – Make-A-Wish® Central New York invites the public to take part in the 27th annual Onondaga Beverage Corp. This year’s event will take place on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse, N.Y. For more than two decades, golfers have come together for this competitive golf tournament to help make wishes come true for children in Central New York. For the first time ever, your team can choose Team Best Ball or Captain & Crew.
Tournament registration will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by an 11:45 a.m. shotgun start. The day’s schedule includes lunch, course contests, raffles and prizes. The event will end with a cocktail reception and awards dinner, featuring a tribute to a very special wish child and family. Incorporated in 1985, Make-A-Wish Central New York is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to granting special wishes to children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Central New York has granted nearly 1500 wishes since its inception. In granting a favorite wish, the Foundation strives to provide the wish child and family with extra-special memories of joy and laughter. A wish offers a welcome respite - a time for nothing but fun!
Make-A-Wish continues to “bring the magic of a wish” to special Central New York kids because of the generous support of individuals and corporations throughout the fifteen counties it serves. The counties served are: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins.
