Syracuse, NY – Make-A-Wish® Central New York is pleased to announce the addition of Bethann Kistner as PR/Communications Manager.
Throughout her 25-year career, Kistner has extensive public relations, communications, and marketing experience in the service and manufacturing industries. In the nonprofit sector, she held the position of director of communications at Community General Hospital, where she also assisted the foundation in their work. Kistner previously worked for Hancock & Estabrook, and two large manufacturers; PAR Technology and Lamson Corporation.
Kistner has also shared her time and experience with many local nonprofits, where she has chaired media and fundraising committees and mentored in the areas of marketing and communications. Kistner currently serves as a vice president on the board of directors for The Humane Association of CNY and has also served as secretary on the board of directors for Rosewood Heights Nursing Home, as well as their Foundation board president.
Kistner is a graduate of Utica College and resides in Baldwinsville with her husband, Mark Buttiglieri.
Incorporated in 1985, Make-A-Wish Central New York, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to granting special wishes to children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 who are living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Central New York has granted over 1,300 wishes since its inception. In granting a favorite wish, the Foundation strives to provide the wish child and family with extra-special memories of joy and laughter. A wish offers a welcome respite - a time for nothing, but fun!
Make-A-Wish® continues to “bring the magic of a wish” to special Central New York kids because of the generous support of the central New York Community both individuals and corporations throughout the fifteen county region it serves. The counties being served are: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins.
