Syracuse, NY – Make-A-Wish® Central New York is pleased to announce the addition of Christine Corbett as Director of Development.
Corbett comes to Make-A-Wish Central New York from Hospice Foundation of Central New York, where she held the position of development officer. At Hospice Foundation, Corbett worked with more than 250 area companies and families to ensure funding which helped provide for the highest quality end of life care. Corbett has also served as account manager with United Way, where she was responsible for an employee fundraising campaign that, under her watch, increased to over $1 million annually. Her success has been demonstrated by increasing revenue and building lasting relationships that benefit Central New York companies, families and non-profit missions.
Corbett is an officer with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Central New York chapter and is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary College. She resides in Syracuse with her husband Dave and two daughters.
Incorporated in 1985, Make-A-Wish Central New York, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to granting special wishes to children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 who are living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Central New York has granted over 1,300 wishes since its inception. In granting a favorite wish, the Foundation strives to provide the wish child and family with extra-special memories of joy and laughter. A wish offers a welcome respite - a time for nothing, but fun!
Make-A-Wish® continues to “bring the magic of a wish” to special Central New York kids because of the generous support of the central New York Community both individuals and corporations throughout the fifteen county region it serves. The counties being served are: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins.
