Syracuse, N.Y. – Make-A-Wish® Central New York is pleased to announce that it will be honoring Michael & Karen Rubenstein, the owners of Manny’s clothing store, for their ongoing support and commitment to Make-A-Wish Central New York as well as the greater Syracuse community. The Rubenstein’s will be the honorees at the annual Sugarman Law Firm Wish Ball on September 8, 2012 at The OnCenter (Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center).

Michael and Karen Rubenstein have made such a positive contribution to the community through countless donations and volunteering for Make-A-Wish®. We are proud and honored to know them”, said Diane Kuppermann, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Central New York.
The Wish Ball will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner, live music by Alibi, basket raffle and a silent auction with wonderful donated items. And, thanks to Welch & Co. Jewelers, guests who attend the Ball and purchase a ticket(s) will be entered to WIN a $5,000 Welch & Co. Jewelers “Key to the Store” Shopping Spree! Individual seats to attend the Ball are $150. Wish partner sponsor tables of ten, which include special recognition, are available for $2,000. Seats and tables may be purchased at the Make-A-Wish office, 5005 Campuswood Drive in East Syracuse, or by calling 315-475-9474. Reservations must be received by August 28, 2012.

Incorporated in 1985, Make-A-Wish Central New York is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to granting special wishes to children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Make-A-Wish Central New York has granted over 1,350 wishes since its inception. In granting a favorite wish, the Foundation strives to provide the wish child and family with extra-special memories of joy and laughter. A wish offers a welcome respite - a time for nothing but fun!
Make-A-Wish continues to “bring the magic of a wish” to special Central New York kids because of the generous support of individuals and corporations throughout the fifteen county region it serves. The counties being served are: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins.
