The evening begins with a “SURPRISE” Wish Announcement, followed by a Wish Kid Puck Drop, and 28 lucky winners of the player/fan dinner. Since the UC Hockey season began at the Utica War Memorial, hockey fans have been buying tickets for a chance to have dinner with their favorite UC Hockey Player. But, there is more, one very special Wish Kid, 4 year-old Will, who is battling with Leukemia, will receive the “SURPRISE” of a lifetime, his wish for a Hockey Rink will be granted live at the beginning of the UC hockey game on February 10, 2012.
The winners of the UC Hockey Player / Fan dinner and Fun Basket of items will be drawn at 2nd intermission at the February 10th UC Hockey game. Twenty-Eight lucky winners will join the players for dinner at Valentino’s Banquet Hall in New Hartford, New York, which Valentino’s generously donated. Tickets can be purchased up until the second intermission and don’t miss the huge extravaganza when Wish Kids take to the ice for some cool games with KISS radio station.
“We are so excited for our Wish Kid Will as his love for Hockey is far beyond his age and we are so thankful to the Coach Heenan & the UC Hockey Team, Dunkin’ Donuts and Valentino’s Banquet Hall for their support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, noted Diane Kuppermann, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York.
