Shawna Cummings was diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder when she was only 2 weeks old. When she was 5 years old she was granted a wish from Make-A-Wish® Central New York. Shawna and her family were sent to Orlando Florida where Shawna got to have lunch with the Princesses at Disney, feed dolphins at Sea World, meet Dora and Sponge Bob at Universal Studios and had dreams come true at Give Kids The World Village where they stayed. Shawna has a loving and generous nature. After returning Shawna wanted to help other children. She wanted to have a walk to raise money so that other kids can receive the same joy, happiness and strength that she did from her wish.

At an average cost of $9,000 per wish you can see how your support continues to bring hope, strength and joy to children with life threatening medical conditions throughout Central New York. Since its founding in 1985, the Central New York chapter has granted over 1,300 wishes for area children – ALL with the help of our business partners, friends and community members!

Registration will start at 9:00am and the Walk will begin at 10:00am. There will be a $5.00 entry fee. Immediately following the Walk there will be refreshments, entertainment and fun for the whole family.
