Welcomes New Program Services Coordinator
Syracuse, NY – February 6, 2012 - Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central New York is pleased to announce the addition of Amanda Timmerman as Program Services Coordinator.
Timmerman has been working for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® since 2008. Prior to this position, she worked as the Celebrity Project Coordinator for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America in Phoenix, Arizona. Timmerman is a graduate of Arizona State University where she earned a BS in psychology and a minor in public relations and strategic communications. She worked at the university as an Honors Thesis Researcher and Sr. Alumni Relations Specialist @ Office of Annual Giving. She also worked as an Administrative and Public Relations Specialist at Moses Anshell. Timmerman lives in Syracuse with her husband Travis.

Incorporated in 1985, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central New York, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to granting special wishes to children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 who are living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central New York has granted over 1300 Wishes since its inception. In granting a favorite wish, the Foundation strives to provide the wish child and family with extra-special memories of joy and laughter, which are in dramatic contrast to the hospital, doctors, and treatment programs.
Make-A-Wish Foundation® continues to “bring the magic of a wish” to special central New York kids because of the generous support of the central New York Community both individuals and corporations throughout the fifteen county region it serves. The counties being served are: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins.
